Chrizia Affittacamere is located about a 10-minute drive from the Serravalle Scrivia Outlet; the center is , about 40 minutes from Genoa and about an hour from Milan and Turin. Because of its strategic location and large size, it is the most visited outlet in Europe, also being the second most visited attraction in Italy in 2017, behind only the Colosseum. At 51,500 m² and 250 stores, it is also McArthurGlen Group's largest outlet in Europe.
Construction on the complex began in 1999 and was completed in 2000, the year it opened.
Over the years, the Praga Group, in partnership with the British McArthur Glen Company, the mall's builder, has expanded the complex, resulting in the establishment of other neighboring shopping centers: the Serravalle Retail Park and the Serravalle Shopping Center (Iper).
A Ferrari Store was also opened in 2007 (later replaced by other stores).
In the summer of 2014, work began on the expansion of the Outlet, which was completed on November 10, 2016, bringing 70 new stores and creating 550 new jobs. The number of stores thus increased to 225.
